The Noether Passage

The following is the introduction to an old tome entitled “The Noether Passage”, published in 700 B.F., roughly 80 years after the event known as “The First Rebellion”, which established the Noether Passage. It is a rare example of non-draconic literature from the time of the Draconic Empire, and is largely historically accurate according to leading historians. Of course, the book could not have been published during the reign of the empire without its influence, and falsehoods or parts influenced by the dragons and not the original writings of the author, Mazamaris the elf, are denoted with an asterisk.

It was the date of Burnaz, 101 of Sikar, of the 28th Cycle of the glorious Empire, Drakaz emprez ezhrem.* Upon this date, in the town of Burnam, a group of humans set out to enact events that would lead to their escape to a land known as the Nethermach. It is to be assured to the reader, before any more of this history is related, that the settlement the humans established in that land has been destroyed*, and its members put down in their futile struggle against the Empire*, Drakaz emprez ezhrem.
